Beantown Magic From Fenway to the Garden

Although the biggest sporting event of the night was about to get underway over at TD Garden, you couldn't help but feel mystique for the reliving of Carlton Fisk's legendary '75 world series homer before the game against Tampa Bay. As the two games began, I knew it was going to be a frustrating, gut-wrenching night for me. The Celtics were injured and proved to be offensively inept through most of these playoffs. I definitely considered the possibility that a young, confident Philly team could steal the series right on our home court, and it fucking scared me. Meanwhile, a 2-1 Red Sox deficit in the bottom of the ninth was not making things any easier. But with one swing of the bat everything changed. Salty's blast won the game for the Sox and on such a majestic night, one could believe Fenway's raucous energy fed the Garden crowd as Rondo took over to seal game 7.  Sure they're going to get beaten by the Miami Heat, perhaps in a quick series, but at least the "big 3" are alive for another series. If there's one thing us Boston fans know it's that "anything's possible".
